Sizco Kiyohara has been professionally creating prints since the 90s. She was awarded several times from The Japan Print Association, and has made her works public both domestically and internationally. She relocated to the Boso Peninsula from Tokyo in 2022, and says her artwork has also been influenced by the change of the environment.
After the relocation, she feels that rather than“making” artwork, she “collects” the moments of ever changing light and colours for her expression. To exhibit the collection of natural scenes more vividly, her methods have been expanding from prints like lithography to painting on iron plates. Her recent artwork is a direct reflection of the scale of nature that she began enjoying in the new environment.
